Bottle Cap Magnets!!!

How to make bottle cap magnets:

- Bottle caps (you can use unused ones or you can spray paint used ones)
- Scrapbook paper
- Magnets
- Embellishments (jewels, glitter, etc...)
- Mod Podge
- Clear Gel (I used Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue, however next time I'll use the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic)
- Amazing Goop Craft Contact Adhesive
- Scissors
- Pencil
- A quarter

Step 1:
Take out your bottle caps and all your supplies.

Step 2:
Trace a circle on your scrapbook paper  (I used a quarter as my guide) and then cut it out.  Repeat this step until you have as many circles as you want.

Step 3:
Apply Mod Podge to your circles with a brush.  You must apply some to both sides of the circle, do one side and wait until it dries before doing the other side.

Step 4:
Once your circles are dry, you are ready to glue your circles inside your bottle caps.

Step 5:
You can add some embellishments to your bottle caps.  If you plan on adding glitter, don't add it right now.

Step 6:
Now it's time to apply the Clear Gel.  You must do this slowly or you'll get lots of air bubbles.  If you do get bubbles, you can use a pin needle to burst them (however I like the look of the bubbles, so I did not burst any of them).  **It takes at least 24 hours for the gel to dry.  Do not touch or move your bottle caps until they are completely dry**

I did not apply the gel over the jewels, I just went around them.

If you plan on using glitter, use it now before the gel dries.

Step 7:
(24 hours later)
Glue the magnets to the back of the bottle caps.

Step 8:
Place them on your fridge and ENJOY!

The Mummy!!!

Can you count to 3?  If so... you'll be able to create this Mummy in a breeze!

Step 1:
Find a vase.
I happened to have a dollar store vase:

Step 2:
Wrap gauze roller bandage or cheese cloth around the vase.  You can use hot glue to make sure it stays put.. or just wrap it tightly (that's what I did):

Step 3:
Your Mummy needs eyes.  You can hot glue eyes or insert them in between the gauze.

VoilĂ :

You can use your Mummy as a vase.. or a candle holder :)

Artichoke Dip!!!

Have you ever eaten an artichoke dip?

Here's my recipe:

1 pkg. (250 g) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, softened
1 can (14 fl oz/398 ml) artichoke hearts, drained, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

SPREAD cream cheese onto bottom of microwaveable 9-inch pie plate.
COMBINE artichokes, butter and garlic; spoon evenly over cream cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
MICROWAVE on HIGH 3 min. or until heated through.
SERVE with crackers... or Tostitos Scoops.

Please note that this dip is highly addictive!
Enjoy! : )

Makeup Storage!!!

Where do you store your makeup??

I'm not quite sure I can say I store mine.. I basically use an old makeup bag and a plastic basket and throw everything in. When it's makeup time... I have to dump everything on the counter to find what I'm looking for.. it's quite awful to see.

I was walking through the dollar store with my sister, when I came across the perfect storage baskets for my makeup.

Look what I did with them:

I absolutely LOVE IT!!  I just have to grab the basket I need.. or the entire tray... all my makeup is organized... I'm in HEAVEN!!

This is what I was using before.... please don't laugh hehe:

Here are the baskets I bought at the dollar store:

Close-ups of my finished makeup storage:

Not too bad now is it?  I hope this as inspired you to organize your makeup. :)
